Trinity UMC is again partnering with Sumter United Ministries for the “Gear Up for Learning” school supply drive to gather and distribute school supplies for students in need for the coming school year. PLEASE: All items (except books) need to be new, and all donations need to be in by Monday, August 9th
In addition, volunteers will be needed to pack the supplies for distribution on August 9-12 between 9:00 am – 12:00 pm (location TBD). Distribution will be made during the first week of school (week of August 17th.
Below is the list of items needed:
- Crayons (16 or 24 count)
- Glue sticks
- Highlighters
- Ink pens
- Loose leaf notebook paper (college ruled)
- Loose leaf notebook paper (wide ruled)
- 3 ring binders
- Pencils (Lots of pencils)
- Large Plastic Pencil boxes
- Primary writing tablets – Ruled for Kindergarten
- Pocket folders (with clasps)
- Pocket folders ( without clasps)
- Rulers
- Round-tip Scissors
- Spiral notebooks (college rule)
- Composition notebooks
- Colored Pencils
- Back packs
- Copier paper
- Tissues
- Hand sanitizer
- Reading books (for Kindergarten readers)
- Reading books (for 1-3 grade readers)
