Groceries on the Go For Guatemala

Trinity UMC Sumter is partnering with Groceries-On-The-Go to raise funds to support the feeding ministry of our partner in mission, Healing Guatemala.

When we left Guatemala in March after our medical mission trip, little did we know they would be facing days without food and no way of getting fed. Covid-19 shut down their country and their public transportation, leaving thousands without means to travel for buying food or even working.

We wanted to gather our congregation together for the first time since Covid-19 took hold of our community and do something huge for our Guatemalan friends.  We are so excited to work with Groceries-On-The-Go to feed the Guatemalan people!

Groceries-On-The Go brings fresh poultry, produce, and dairy from local farmers directly to your car, while sharing the proceeds to build God’s Kingdom.  We are hosting a Pop Up Grocery Event. Order between now and July 20th, and on July 22nd, a team from Trinity will be there from 5:00 – 7:00 PM for you to pick up your grocery order.

We know it’s the time for vacations and if you are out of town that week or not looking to buy groceries for yourself – We encourage you to donate groceries – all donated items go to Sumter United Ministries while the proceeds go to Guatemala. We want use this unique opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ and spread the Good News through good deeds!
